WHAT IS TUVIMA?

DISCOVER EVERYTHING.

Tuvima is a word derived from the Tolkien (Lord of the Rings) Quenya language, which means “Discoverable”. Even our logo represent the silmarils, from the Tolkien world.

We are motiviated to focus on privacy, anonymity, and ease of use.

We have a couple of products in our pipeline, the first of which is completely open source and free – Tuvima Library.

Tuvima Library

Tuvima Library is what you always wanted in a media manager, but didn’t have. We built intelligent mapping across *all* of your media, and you can see “Hubs” that showcase not just your books, but movies, comics, and podcasts. Want to see a “Hub” for anything Middle Earth? Tuvima Library can do that. Built on .NET and Blazor, and completely open source.

Privacy platform

Tuvima ID is the platform by which we leverage folks to have a unified login, but multiple ‘personas’ across communities.

It’s like talking with different groups of people – you’d speak differently with your work colleagues, or your parents, or relatives, than you would to one group of friends, or even across multiple groups of friends. You don’t have to be the same, and you don’t have to be thought of as the same.

Because we all as individuals have our own personas based on our circumstance, Tuvima ID supports that idea online, and lets you be you, whomever and wherever you want to be.

And yes, we’ll support federation to external directories, and can use ATProto for global identities.
